Role Description The Training Specialist is a full-time, on-site role based in Mandaue, responsible for developing and delivering training programs for frontline and back-office team members. The role includes designing training materials, conducting classroom and on-the-job training sessions, and ensuring employees understand company policies, product knowledge, and customer service standards. The Training Specialist will assess training needs, track participation, and evaluate training effectiveness through feedback, performance metrics, and follow-up coaching. Day-to-day responsibilities include coordinating training schedules, maintaining training records, supporting supervisors in onboarding new hires, and continuously improving training content to align with business goals. The role collaborates with operations and customer service teams to ensure training supports consistent, high-quality service and efficient store performance.
Qualifications
  • Strong Communication skills, including clear facilitation, presentation, and documentation abilities.
  • Experience in Training & Development and Training, with a track record of planning, delivering, and evaluating learning programs.
  • Knowledge of Instructional Design, including creating structured training materials, modules, and learning activities.
  • Customer Service skills to model service standards and train team members on customer-facing best practices.
  • Previous experience in retail, home improvement, or related customer-focused environments is preferred.
  • Ability to work on-site in Mandaue, manage multiple training initiatives, and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency in basic office software (e.g., word processing, presentations, spreadsheets) and comfort with using training tools or platforms.
  • Associate or bachelor's degree in Education, Human Resources, Business, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
