Position Summary

The Training Manager – Sales is responsible for designing, implementing, and continuously improving sales training programs that drive productivity, compliance, customer experience, and revenue growth. The role ensures that all sales employees—from new hires to experienced sales leaders—have the knowledge, skills, tools, and behaviors required to consistently achieve performance targets while operating within regulatory and company guidelines.

The Training Manager will partner closely with Sales Leadership, Operations, Risk, Compliance, Product, and HR to identify capability gaps and develop scalable learning solutions that improve sales effectiveness, conversion rates, customer acquisition, and employee retention.

Key Responsibilities

Sales Training Strategy & Execution

  • Develop and execute the company's sales training strategy aligned with business growth objectives.
  • Create structured onboarding programs for newly hired sales employees.
  • Design continuous learning programs for field sales, branch sales, telesales, and sales management teams.
  • Build role-based learning pathways for Sales Associates, Senior Sales Officers, Team Leaders, Sales Managers, and Regional Managers.
  • Establish certification programs to ensure sales readiness and competency.

Sales Capability Development

  • Train employees on:
    • Sales processes and methodologies
    • Prospecting and lead generation
    • Consultative selling
    • Objection handling
    • Negotiation techniques
    • Closing strategies
    • Customer relationship management
    • Cross-selling and upselling
    • Digital sales channels
  • Improve conversion rates through targeted coaching interventions.
  • Develop programs focused on increasing productivity and sales quality.
Coaching & Performance Improvement

  • Conduct field observations, call listening sessions, and ride-alongs.
  • Partner with Sales Managers to develop coaching plans for underperforming employees.
  • Create performance improvement training interventions.
  • Facilitate leadership development programs for sales supervisors and managers.

Experience

  • 5–8+ years of Learning & Development, Sales Training, or Sales Enablement experience. Ideally within FMCG,Retail or Fintech
  • At least 3 years managing sales training programs.
  • Experience within lending, banking, fintech, insurance, telecommunications, or high-volume sales environments preferred.
  • Proven experience supporting large-scale sales organizations.
