About the Company:
As a key subsidiary of SMC Infrastructure, you will join the Company that is responsible for the Operations and Maintenance (O&M) of the MRT7 project. The MRT7 Project is set to redefine the commute between Metro Manila and Bulacan by introducing a modern, high-efficiency rail network.
Job Summary:
The Train Operator is responsible for the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of MRT-7 trains, ensuring compliance with established operating procedures, safety regulations, and service standards. The role involves maintaining punctual train movements, monitoring operational conditions, responding effectively to service disruptions and emergencies, and ensuring the security and comfort of passengers.
- Operate the assigned revenue train in adherence to the approved timetable and instruction, while strictly observing the standard operating procedures, safety and train operation regulations.
- Operate the assigned train in the depot and along the mainline in accordance with the specific systems and operating rules of the MRT 7 system
- Serve the public with the highest degree of responsibility, efficiency, and professionalism.
- Perform pre-departure inspection in accordance with approved procedures.
- Comply with all orders, instructions, and/or advice emanating from Operations Control Center during mainline revenue operations.
- Promote passenger safety and security announcing all safety reminders, station names, and other appropriate instructions to passengers aboard the train.
- Act as reserve duty personnel to assist during turnback operations and maintain the regular working force necessary for the revenue train service, test train, inspection train, special train, train shunting, coupling and uncoupling of trainsets.
- Perform applicable intervention procedure/s during train failure and when required, prepare and perform train hauling in accordance with approved procedure, giving full consideration to the safety of its passengers and its crew.
- Report immediately any abnormalities, conditions, or rolling stock faults that may compromise system safety in the depot or along the mainline.

- Deliver public service announcements with passengers on updates, movements, or delays as needed.
- Support trainees and newly hired Train Operators during their On-the-Job Training (OJT) phase through an assigned buddy system.
- Assist the Train Operation Manager, Train Operation Engineer, and Train Crew Supervisors by performing other operationally related tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in a technical-related field, preferably Engineering.
- Valid Driver's License (at least non-professional) or (LTO-issued/Motor Vehicle Driver's License) is preferred.
- Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
- At least (1) year of relevant experience in transportation, operations, engineering, or technical services is an advantage, but not required.
