Vendiz Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (VPI) is a marketing company specializing in sterile pharmaceutical products particularly ophthalmic (eye) drops, otic (ear) drops, creams and ointments, and capsules / tablets. We are currently expanding our market presence and are looking for a Trade Specialist to drive sales and partnerships with wholesalers, distributors and dispensing doctors.
Position Summary
The Trade Specialist will be responsible for developing and managing business relationships with pharmaceutical wholesalers, dispensing doctors, and key trade accounts. This role requires a balance of sales expertise, market knowledge, and relationship-building skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Business Development & Sales
- Identify, approach, and secure partnerships with pharmaceutical wholesalers, distributors, and dispensing doctors.
- Present the company's products, highlighting competitive advantages such as sterile manufacturing, pricing, and branding opportunities.
- Negotiate trade agreements, pricing strategies, and volume discounts that are aligned with company policies.
- Generate new business opportunities through market mapping, lead generation, and relationship building.
- Account & Relationship Management
- Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned wholesale partners and dispensing doctors.
- Build and maintain business relationships with clients to encourage repeat business and loyalty.
- Manage account activities including product inquiries, stock availability, order fulfillment, and after-sales support.
- Provide clients with product updates, marketing support, and regulatory information as needed.
- Market Intelligence & Strategy
- Monitor market trends, competitor products, and pricing strategies especially in the ophthalmic, otic and derma segments.
- Recommend strategies for new product introduction, house branding opportunities, and competitive positioning.
- Collect client and market feedback to guide product development and business strategy.
- Operational Coordination
- Work closely with the manufacturing, regulatory, and logistics teams to ensure smooth order processing and timely delivery.
- Ensure all trade dealings comply with local pharmaceutical regulations and company policies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
- At least 3 years of experience in pharmaceutical sales, trade, or wholesale distribution, especially in eye drops and ear drops.
- A strong network of pharmaceutical wholesalers, clinics, or dispensing doctors is preferred.
- Knowledge of drug distribution, pricing, and regulatory compliance in the Philippines.
- Excellent negotiation, presentation, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage targets, and travel as needed.
