Job Summary

The Trade Marketing Manager is responsible for developing and executing trade marketing strategies that drive sales, improve product visibility, and optimize distribution within commissary and retail channels. This role bridges marketing, sales, and operations to ensure effective in-store execution, promotions, and product availability.

Key Responsibilities

1. Trade Strategy & Planning

  • Develop and implement trade marketing strategies aligned with overall brand and sales objectives
  • Analyze market trends, customer behavior, and competitor activities to identify growth opportunities
  • Plan and manage promotional calendars for commissary and store networks

2. Channel & Commissary Management

  • Work closely with commissary operations to ensure product availability, proper inventory levels, and efficient distribution
  • Coordinate product launches, menu rollouts, and seasonal campaigns
  • Optimize product assortment and pricing strategies across outlets

3. Promotions & Execution

  • Design and execute trade promotions, bundles, and in-store activations
  • Ensure consistent and high-quality in-store visibility (POS materials, displays, signage)
  • Monitor execution compliance across stores and commissaries

4. Sales Support & Collaboration

  • Partner with sales teams to drive volume and revenue targets
  • Provide tools, insights, and materials to support store-level selling
  • Align with supply chain, procurement, and operations teams

5. Performance Analysis

  • Track and evaluate promotion effectiveness, ROI, and sales performance
  • Prepare reports and dashboards with actionable insights
  • Recommend improvements based on data and post-activity reviews

6. Budget Management

  • Manage trade marketing budgets and ensure cost efficiency
  • Allocate resources effectively across channels and campaigns

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field
  • 58+ years of experience in trade marketing, preferably in food service, QSR, FMCG
  • Experience working with commissary or centralized kitchen systems is highly preferred
  • Strong analytical, planning, and project management skills
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
