OVERVIEW:
. We are seeking a highly motivated Analyst to work directly with a discretionary Global Macro Portfolio Manager. The successful candidate will gain broad exposure to the complete investment lifecycle, from idea generation and trade identification through execution, risk management, portfolio monitoring, and post-trade analysis.

. This is a hands-on role within a dynamic investment environment, offering significant responsibility and direct interaction with the Portfolio Manager. The Analyst will be expected to develop a deep understanding of global financial markets while supporting the day-to-day management of a macro investment portfolio across rates, foreign exchange, fixed income, equities, commodities, and related derivatives.

. A key objective of the role is to leverage artificial intelligence and technology to enhance the investment process. The successful candidate will help integrate third-party AI tools with proprietary research, data and investment frameworks to accelerate information processing, improve research quality, and shorten the cycle from information discovery to actionable investment ideas.

MAIN DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

Technology, Data & AI Integration:

. Develop and maintain AI-enabled research and investment workflows.

. Integrate third-party AI tools with proprietary research, historical analysis, investment frameworks and internal datasets.

. Design processes that automate information gathering, summarization, monitoring, and analysis.

. Build workflows that accelerate the conversion of information into investment insights and actionable trade ideas.

. Evaluate emerging AI, data and productivity tools for potential application within the investment process.

. Create dashboards, analytical tools, prompts and automated workflows to improve efficiency and consistency.

. Contribute to the development of a scalable, technology-enabled investment platform.

. Ensure appropriate governance and confidentiality standards when working with proprietary information and external technology providers.

Investment Research & Idea Generation

. Monitor global macroeconomic developments, central bank policy, geopolitical events and financial markets.

. Conduct fundamental and quantitative research across multiple asset classes.

. Analyse economic data releases, market positioning, valuation metrics and risk factors.

. Develop investment theses and identify actionable trading opportunities.

. Prepare concise investment memoranda and market commentary for discussion with the Portfolio Manager.

. Maintain awareness of evolving market narratives and emerging macro themes.

Portfolio Management Support

. Assist in evaluating, structuring and sizing investment opportunities.

. Monitor existing portfolio positions and recommend adjustments as market conditions evolve.

. Conduct scenario analysis, stress testing and risk-reward assessments.

. Support portfolio construction decisions through analysis of exposures, correlations and portfolio risks.

. Track and report portfolio performance and P&L attribution.

Trade Execution & Monitoring

. Support trade execution and implementation across multiple asset classes while coordinating with brokers, counterparties, and internal stakeholders.

. Monitor positions, execution quality, and portfolio exposures, maintaining accurate records and conducting post-trade analysis.

Operational & Process Improvement

. Work closely with operations, compliance, finance and external service providers to support portfolio operations, reporting and trade lifecycle management.

. Identify opportunities to improve processes, automate workflows and enhance the efficiency of the investment platform.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

. 1-3 years of relevant experience within a financial institution, including Sales & Trading, Investment Research, Asset Management, Hedge Funds, Private Banking, Corporate Banking, Treasury or related markets-focused roles.

. Graduates with a strong academic record in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Engineering, Physics, or Computer Science , combined with demonstrable skills in financial analysis through at least one of the following published research, documented investment simulation or competition participation, a structured internship within a financial markets environment, or a self-directed quantitative or investment project, will also be considered.

. Strong interest in global macroeconomics and financial markets.

. Understanding of one or more asset classes including rates, foreign exchange, fixed income, equities, commodities or derivatives.

. Strong analytical and quantitative skills.

. Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

. High attention to detail and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

. Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Engineering, Physics, Computer Science or a related discipline.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

. Experience using AI tools to improve research, productivity, decision-making or workflow efficiency.

. Familiarity with large language models, AI research platforms, agent-based workflows or related technologies.

. Experience with Python, SQL, VBA, APIs or data analytics tools.

. Exposure to systematic research, quantitative analysis or financial data platforms.

. Progress toward or completion of the CFA designation is advantageous but not required.
