As a key subsidiary of SMC Infrastructure, you will join the Company that is responsible for the Operations and Maintenance (O&M) of the MRT7 project. The MRT7 Project is set to redefine the commute between Metro Manila and Bulacan by introducing a modern, high-efficiency rail network.

The MRT7 Project at a Glance

The MRT7 is a 22-kilometer rail and road system extending from North Avenue in Quezon City to San Jose del Monte, Bulacan. Designed to be a backbone of northern metropolitan transit, the project features 14 strategically placed stations, including Quezon North Avenue Joint Station, University Avenue, Batasan, and San Jose del Monte.

Once fully operational, the MRT7 is engineered to support a massive daily capacity of up to 650,000 passengers, offering a faster and more seamless travel experience for the commuting public.

About the Role

The rationale and purpose behind the existence of Trackworks Lead is to be responsible for the end-to-end reliability of the track system, balancing technical field supervision with administrative oversight to deliver a safe, efficient, and cost-effective railway environment. This role serves as the critical bridge between high-level engineering plans and field execution, ensuring that all maintenance activities whether routine or emergency are performed in compliance with national and international railway standards while managing the department's human and financial resources.

Key Responsibilities:

• Identify maintenance needs (preventive and corrective), develop schedules, and ensure all work follows engineering and planning procedures.
• Provide guidance to teams during repairs and inspections to ensure technical accuracy and safety.
• Lead investigations into track failures, performs Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and implements corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
• Coordinate with Operations to handle breakdowns or emergencies, prioritizing the quick restoration of train services.
• Manage inventory for spare parts and equipment. Reviews and endorses purchase requests for materials and tools.
• Provide technical input for the annual maintenance budget and monitors spending to ensure the department stays within financial limits.
• Work with the Business Procurement Group (BPG) to secure necessary maintenance services and goods.
• Conduct regular 1-on-1 feedback sessions, perform annual reviews, and align team goals with company business targets.
• Manage all timekeeping duties, including approving overtime, vacation leaves, and daily time sheets for the entire department.
• Handle HR-related issues, including issuing Notices to Explain (NTEs) and participating in administrative hearings to resolve employee conduct cases.
• Ensure the system meets national and international railway safety standards and strict regulatory protocols.
• Develop technical training frameworks (Foundational to Refresher) and acts as the lead instructor for trackwork personnel.
• Serve as the primary link between Maintenance, Operations, HR, and Asset Management to ensure departmental strategies are synchronized and service disruptions are minimized.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree graduate of Railway Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electromechanical, Electronic Communication, or other specialized engineering related courses.
• PRC License Holder (except Railway Engineering and Industrial Engineering courses)
• Preferably a Project Management Professional (PMP)
• With certification issued by the Philippine Railway Institute (Fundamental and Systems Training)
• One (1) to three (3) years of work experience as Supervisor or three (3) to five (5) years overall work experience.
