The Head of Total Rewards is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing comprehensive compensation and benefits strategies that support the company's goals, attract and retain top talent, and ensure market competitiveness. This role provides strategic direction and operational oversight for compensation, benefits, recognition programs, job evaluation, and related compliance areas.
Key Responsibilities:
Compensation Strategy & Design
- Develop and implement competitive compensation strategies aligned with business objectives.
- Oversee salary benchmarking, market surveys, and internal equity analysis.
- Ensure the effectiveness of incentive and bonus programs.
Benefits Management
- Design, review, and manage employee benefits programs (e.g., healthcare, insurance, retirement plans).
- Evaluate vendors and third-party providers to ensure quality and cost-effectiveness.
- Monitor benefit trends and recommend enhancements aligned with employee needs and company capabilities.
Job Evaluation & Classification
- Establish and maintain a robust job evaluation and grading system.
- Oversee the maintenance of job descriptions and ensure alignment across functions.
Rewards & Recognition
- Design and manage recognition programs to foster employee engagement and performance culture.
- Evaluate effectiveness and recommend improvements based on feedback and KPIs.
Compliance & Governance
- Ensure all compensation and benefits practices comply with labor laws and internal policies.
- Serve as a key point of contact during audits or regulatory reviews.
Team Leadership & Stakeholder Management
- Lead and develop a team of compensation and benefits specialists.
- Collaborate with HRBPs and business leaders to align total rewards programs with talent strategies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Finance, or related field (Master's preferred).
- Minimum of 8–10 years of progressive HR experience with a strong focus on compensation and benefits.
- Proven experience in designing and implementing total rewards strategies.
- Strong analytical, project management, and communication skills.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and HRIS systems; experience with job evaluation tools is a plus.
- Certification in compensation or benefits is an advantage.
