Title Analyst (Curative)

A Mortgage Title Analyst/Curative Process Specialist is responsible for identifying, analyzing, and resolving issues in mortgage loans that prevent them from progressing through underwriting, closing, or post-closing stages. The role ensures loan files meet compliance, investor, and regulatory requirements by curing deficiencies in documentation, data, or processes.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Loan Review & Issue Identification

• Review mortgage loan files for missing, incorrect, or incomplete information
• Identify defects related to: 

Income and employment documents

Credit reports

Property/title issues

Compliance documentation

Flag discrepancies preventing loan approval or sale

Curative Actions & Resolution

• Work on correcting deficiencies in loan files (pre or post-closing)
• Coordinate with: 

Underwriters

Loan Officers

Title companies

Borrowers or third-party vendors

Ensure all missing conditions are cleared before deadline

Communication & Coordination

• Communicate with internal and external parties to resolve issues quickly
• Provide clear documentation of corrections made
• Escalate critical issues when required

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Commerce, or related field (preferred but not necessary).
• Excellent leadership and communication skills
• 1– 2 years as a Title Analyst/Curative Specialist
