Testing Supervisor

Responsibilities:

• Supervise and coordinate all field and laboratory testing activities related to ground improvement works, ensuring compliance with project specifications and quality requirements.
• Plan, schedule, and monitor testing operations to support project execution and meet project timelines.
• Ensure all testing activities are carried out in accordance with approved procedures, industry standards, and client requirements.
• Supervise testing personnel, technicians, and subcontractors to ensure work is performed safely, efficiently, and accurately.
• Coordinate with Site Engineers, QA/QC personnel, Surveyors, and Project Management teams regarding testing schedules and results.
• Review and validate test data, reports, and records to ensure accuracy and completeness before submission.
• Monitor ground improvement performance through field testing, inspections, and quality control activities.
• Ensure testing equipment is properly calibrated, maintained, certified, and fit for use.
• Analyze testing results and identify deviations, non-conformances, or quality issues, recommending corrective actions when required.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly testing reports and maintain comprehensive testing records.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, and third-party laboratories during inspections, testing activities, and project reviews.
• Ensure that all testing activities comply with relevant geotechnical, civil engineering, and project specifications.
• Support the interpretation and evaluation of geotechnical data generated during project execution.
• Monitor productivity and performance of the testing team and provide guidance and training as necessary.
• Ensure proper documentation, filing, and traceability of all testing records and reports.
• Promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with all HSE requirements, policies, and procedures.
• Participate in incident investigations and implement corrective and preventive actions where required.
• Assist in continuous improvement initiatives related to testing procedures, quality management, and operational efficiency.
• Perform additional duties as required to support project and operational needs.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Secondary School Certificate or equivalent.
• Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in geotechnical testing, ground improvement, civil engineering, marine construction, or related industries, including supervisory experience.
• Strong knowledge of field testing and quality control activities related to ground improvement works.
• Experience supervising testing crews, technicians, and field personnel.
• Ability to interpret testing results and maintain accurate testing records and reports.
• Familiarity with testing equipment, calibration requirements, and inspection procedures.
• Experience in dredging, reclamation, marine civil, or ground improvement projects is highly preferred.
• Good understanding of project specifications, quality standards, and HSE requirements.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and reporting tools.
