Job Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced Testing & Commissioning (T&C) with a strong background in solar power projects. The role will be responsible for overseeing and executing all testing and commissioning activities to ensure that solar power systems, electrical equipment, and associated infrastructure are installed, tested, and commissioned in accordance with project specifications, industry standards, and safety requirements.
The ideal candidate must have at least 10 years of relevant experience in Testing & Commissioning, particularly in utility-scale solar projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate, and execute testing and commissioning activities for solar power plant systems and related electrical infrastructure.
- Conduct pre-commissioning inspections and ensure all equipment installation complies with engineering specifications and project standards.
- Perform testing and commissioning of inverters, transformers, switchgear, MV/LV systems, protection systems, and SCADA systems.
- Develop and review T&C procedures, checklists, and method statements in accordance with project requirements and international standards.
- Coordinate closely with EPC contractors, engineers, project managers, and client representatives during commissioning activities.
- Monitor and document test results, commissioning reports, and punch list items, ensuring proper closure before system energization.
- Ensure all T&C activities comply with safety standards, regulatory requirements, and quality assurance procedures.
- Support troubleshooting and resolution of technical issues during testing and commissioning phases.
- Participate in grid compliance testing and final handover to operations.
- Prepare final commissioning reports and documentation for project completion.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in Testing & Commissioning, preferably in solar power or renewable energy projects.
- Proven experience handling utility-scale solar PV projects.
- Strong knowledge of solar PV systems, electrical systems, substations, inverters, transformers, and protection systems.
- Familiarity with grid compliance testing, SCADA systems, and plant performance testing.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, single-line diagrams, and technical specifications.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Willing to work on-site and travel to project locations as required.
