About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Test Manager / Senior Test Manager with strong expertise in Retail Internet Banking, Mobile Banking, Cards, Core Banking, and Wealth Management (Avaloq). The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading large-scale testing programs, managing cross-functional QA teams, driving quality governance, and ensuring successful delivery of banking and digital channel transformation projects.
The candidate must possess deep banking domain knowledge, hands-on testing expertise across frontend and backend systems, and strong stakeholder management capabilities. Experience in Avaloq Wealth Management platform, NPCI compliance certifications, and BBPS certifications is mandatory.
Key Responsibilities
Test Management & Delivery Leadership
- Lead end-to-end testing activities across Retail Banking, Mobile Banking, Internet Banking, Cards, Core Banking, and Wealth Management applications.
- Prepare and manage:
- Test Strategy
- Test Plans
- Test Scenarios
- Test Execution Approach
- Defect Management Strategy
- Test Closure Reports
- Define test scope, timelines, resource allocation, and quality goals.
- Ensure adherence to testing standards, methodologies, and quality gates.
- Drive test governance across multiple projects and releases.
Project Management
- Manage test deliveries across multiple banking applications and programs.
- Identify project risks, challenges, dependencies, prerequisites, and mitigation plans.
- Track project milestones, deliverables, and release readiness.
- Ensure timely delivery with optimal utilization of resources.
- Provide regular status updates to stakeholders and leadership.
Reporting & Governance
- Prepare and present:
- Daily Status Reports (DSR)
- Weekly Status Reports (WSR)
- Monthly Status Reports (MSR)
- Track quality metrics and delivery KPIs.
- Present program updates, quality dashboards, risks, and escalations to stakeholders.
- Drive quality governance meetings and steering committee reviews.
Banking Domain Testing
- Lead testing initiatives across:
- Retail Internet Banking
- Mobile Banking
- Cards & Payments
- Core Banking Systems
- Wealth Management Platforms (Avaloq)
- Validate end-to-end customer journeys and transaction flows.
- Ensure business process compliance and operational readiness.
Compliance & Certification Testing
- Lead compliance validation and certification activities.
- Participate in:
- NPCI Compliance Control Testing
- BBPS Certification Testing
- Coordinate with business, technology, and certification teams to achieve successful certifications.
- Ensure regulatory and banking standards compliance.
Backend & Database Validation
- Perform root cause analysis through backend log reviews.
- Validate APIs, middleware, and integrations.
- Conduct database validation and data reconciliation activities.
- Support defect triaging and production issue investigations.
Client & Stakeholder Management
- Act as the primary QA point of contact for clients and business stakeholders.
- Conduct client demos, walkthroughs, and project reviews.
- Obtain testing sign-offs and approvals.
- Manage stakeholder expectations and communication effectively.
Team Leadership
- Lead, mentor, and motivate QA teams across multiple projects.
- Drive team performance, productivity, and capability development.
- Allocate tasks and monitor team deliverables.
- Foster collaboration, ownership, and continuous improvement culture.
- Support team building and employee engagement initiatives.
Agile Delivery
