The Opportunity

We have an exciting opportunity for a Test Engineer to join our Business Unit, carrying out all aspects of testing and inspection, and supporting day-to-day testing activities within the Workshop.

This role is integral to ensuring safety, quality, and reliability of services provided to our customers.

Key Responsibilities

As a Test Engineer, you will play a critical role within our major programme delivery team.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Perform both static and dynamic electrical tests on a wide range of rotating plant, from LV to HV.
• Champion and lead by example a Safety First culture.
• Oversee and take responsibility for electrical test records and reports.
• Ensure quality standards through a right first time and on time delivery ethos.
• Maintain company brand standards across materials and working environments.
• Provide excellent customer service, including interacting with customers, responding to enquiries, and assisting with complaints when required.
• Take responsibility for equipment, tooling, and plant in your area, with a focus on continuous improvement and maintenance.

Your skills and experiences:

• BSc in Electrical Engineering (preferred).
• Relevant large rotating plant skills.
• Hands-on knowledge and experience in condition monitoring of rotating equipment.
• Extensive experience within the large rotating plant industry.
• Knowledge of motor and generator testing methods, including static and dynamic loading.
• Strong fault-finding skills (preferred).
