Your Role
As a Test Engineer, you will:
Review functional specifications, solution requirements, technical specifications, and user stories, providing feedback to document authors as required
Develop traceability matrices to ensure all requirements are covered by test cases and align with testing standards
Create detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts to ensure quality testing outcomes
Perform test execution, capturing and documenting all results, and reporting defects using JIRA
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure comprehensive test coverage and release readiness
Create, maintain, and execute automated tests and manage test environments and test data across projects and BAU activities
Coordinate release readiness with vendor and support teams to deploy applications to production
Identify potential risks, evaluate their impact, and implement risk-based testing approaches to ensure critical functionalities are thoroughly tested
Drive Quality Management activities, including uplift of frameworks, process improvements, sprint cadences, PI Planning support, and JIRA board maintenance
Prepare test summary reports and review with stakeholders for sign-off
Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, Health Safety & Environment, and company policies
Continuously contribute to improving Quality Management efficiency and effectiveness
What You Need
Non-negotiables
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
Proven experience in application testing, release management, and QA frameworks
Strong understanding of risk-based testing, defect management, and QA processes
Experience with automated testing tools and test environment management
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail
Preferred Skills/expertise
Familiarity with JIRA or similar issue-tracking tools
Experience in coordinating releases and cross-functional QA activities
Knowledge of compliance and regulatory requirements in software development
Ability to mentor and guide team members in testing best practices
Experience with Agile/Scrum frameworks and sprint planning
