Your Role
As a
Test Engineer, you will:
- Design, develop, and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on functional and technical requirements.
- Perform manual and/or automated testing to ensure product quality, performance, and reliability.
- Identify, document, and track defects through resolution using defect tracking tools.
- Collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to clarify requirements and resolve issues.
- Participate in regression, system, integration, and user acceptance testing as required.
What You Need
Non-negotiables
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience in software testing or quality assurance roles.
- Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, processes, and best practices.
- Experience in writing clear and comprehensive test documentation.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Skills/expertise
- Experience with test automation tools and frameworks.
- Familiarity with defect tracking and test management tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail, or similar).
- Basic understanding of programming or scripting languages.
- Experience testing web-based, mobile, or enterprise applications.
- Knowledge of Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
