As the Software Test Engineer, you will help ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of innovative software solutions used in distributed enterprise environments. You will play an active role across the full testing lifecycle—working collaboratively with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality products that meet customer needs while supporting innovation and continuous improvement.
In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
- Design, plan, and execute comprehensive test strategies, including functional, integration, exploratory testing, and system-level testing
- Define test scope, develop test cases, and create test configurations aligned with project requirements
- Perform device testing and Field Device Integration (FDI)/ Device Description (DD) testing, including integration into software tools such as Visual Studio
- Maintain related technical manuals and documentation
- Support mailboxes
- Identify, document, and troubleshoot issues; collaborate with teams to resolve defects and improve system performance
- Contribute to maintaining technical documentation, user requirements understanding, and test reports
- Ensure a holistic testing approach that considers usability, security, scalability, and interoperability
- Work closely with developers, project managers, and stakeholders to support timely and predictable product delivery
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, including process optimization and knowledge sharing

For This Role, You Will Need:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or any related field.
- Minimum of 2 years experience in software testing, quality assurance, customer support, or a related technical role
- Knowledge of software development lifecycle practices and testing methodologies
- Ability to analyze requirements and translate them into effective test coverage
- Experience in troubleshooting systems and documenting findings clearly
- Familiarity with Windows operating systems, networking, and database tools
- Strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work across global teams
- A problem-solving mindset and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
- Openness to learning and adapting in a fast-evolving technical environment
Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:
- Knowledge of Foundation Fieldbus (FF), Profinet, and Profibus
- Experience with test automation tools (e.g., Ranorex or similar platforms)
- Exposure to virtual environments such as VMware or Hyper-V
- Familiarity with Agile development practices and tools like Azure DevOps
- Experience testing web or cloud-based applications using platforms such as Microsoft Azure or AWS
- Knowledge of performance, scalability, or system-level testing
- Exposure to industrial or process domains such as energy, manufacturing, or life sciences
