Job Description

About the Role:

The Test Automation Engineer is an individual contributor within the CIO organization. This role supports the development and execution of automated testing strategies aimed at identifying software bugs and quality issues, reducing reliance on manual testing, and improving the consistency and reliability of test outputs

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, build, and maintain scalable and robust automation frameworks for UI, API, and regression testing to ensure high test coverage and reliability.
  • Collaborate with vendors and external service providers to align automation practices, integrate external tools, and ensure consistent delivery of automation testing outcomes.
  • Exhibit strong test management capabilities, including planning, execution tracking, reporting, and aligning automation objectives with business timelines.
  • Work closely with engineering teams to assess functional and technical requirements, ensuring automated test outputs are usable and acceptable for release.
  • Prepare, implement, and evaluate automated test cases in collaboration with key stakeholders.
  • Ensure all test automation activities adhere to testing guidelines, internal policies, and regulatory standards.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in test automation, with hands-on expertise in tools such as Katalon, Selenium, and scripting languages like Java, Groovy, or Python.
  • Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git), CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, Azure DevOps), and test management tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail).
  • Hands-on experience with Appium for mobile automation testing and device farms such as BrowserStack for cross-browser and cross-device testing.
  • Understanding of Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) and Test-Driven Development (TDD) practices.
  • Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, including functional, regression, and integration testing.
