Tendering Engineer

Job Scope:

The role involves preparing commercial and technical proposals for High/Medium/Low Voltage switchgear/containerized solutions and EPC related key segments. Collaborating with sales and marketing team locally, APAC countries and headquarters to ensure alignment. This position will be based at our office in the Philippines.

Job Responsibilities:

• Responsible to prepare technical solutions, tender preparation and strategy
• Compile and manage Philippines tender documents with confidentiality
• Manage tender pricing/estimating databases according to guidelines
• Collaborate and analyze tender invitations, requests for proposals (RFPs), or requests for quotations (RFQs) to comprehend project requirements.
• Facilitate key progress meetings such as tender kick-off, progress review, risk review, Clarifications, tender approval and project handover
• Verify that the technical proposal comprehensively addresses all technical requirements
• Coordinate with the engineering and supply chain teams to identify and secure the most optimized solutions
• Prepare and submit tenders within the designated deadlines
• Monitor and track the status of submitted tenders, addressing any inquiries or clarifications from the client or tendering authority
• Seek proposals from vendors and subcontractors, then assess the received proposals
• Develop cost estimates encompassing materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractors necessary for the project
• Assess potential project risks and contingencies that could influence the cost estimate

Job Requirements:

• Diploma/Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
• At least 5 years of experience working in tendering, bidding, engineering, technical design or equivalent
• Strong technical understanding of high voltage, medium or low voltage products/switchgear and solutions from similar competitors
• Open to other industry segments such as datacenter, renewables, power transmission and distribution
• Able to liaise at all levels and a team player
• Excellent English communication skills
• Familiar with tender software tools e.g. WPS, Excel, Word, PowerPoint
• High adaptability, responsible and independent
