Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Telesales Agent to conduct outbound cold calling to pubs, restaurants, and retail establishments to book qualified sales appointments. The role focuses on reaching decision-makers during business hours to schedule meetings for the sales team to present payment processing solutions. This is a remote position requiring consistent daily calling activity to generate 10 qualified appointments per week.

Client Overview

Our client is a financial services firm specializing in payment processing solutions for the hospitality and retail sectors. They provide payment terminals, EPOS systems, and next-day settlement services to merchants across the UK.

Schedule:

  • Part-time: 20 hours per week (4 hours per day, 5 days per week) - UK timezone, working 12 am - 4 pm

Responsibilities

  • Conduct outbound cold calls to pubs, restaurants, and retail businesses using provided lead databases.
  • Schedule qualified sales appointments with business owners and decision-makers.
  • Maintain accurate records of call activities, outcomes, and appointment details.
  • Follow up with prospects to confirm scheduled appointments and provide necessary information.
  • Work directly with the sales director to understand business needs and refine targeting approach.

Requirements

Must-Have Requirements:

  • Proven experience in telesales or appointment setting, preferably in B2B environments.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage decision-makers professionally.
  • Comfortable making high-volume outbound calls and handling objections.
  • Self-motivated with ability to work independently in a remote environment.
  • Available duly to work during UK business hours when target businesses are operational.

Nice-to-Have Requirements:

  • Previous experience calling hospitality or retail sectors.
  • Familiarity with payment processing or financial services industry.
  • Experience working with CRM systems or call tracking platforms.
  • Background in sales roles with commission-based compensation structures.
