Role Description

This is a full-time remote position for a Telematics Engineer. The Telematics Engineer will develop, implement, and maintain telematics and IoT solutions, ensuring optimal functionality of tracking devices and software platforms. Responsibilities include designing new telematics solutions, analyzing system performance, troubleshooting device challenges, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to improve functionality. The role also involves performing tests on GPS hardware, integrating systems with third-party platforms, and staying updated on emerging trends in telematics and IoT technologies.

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in Telematics and IoT systems, including understanding GPS tracking technologies and their applications.
  • Experience in Software Development and System Integration, with knowledge of APIs, cloud platforms, and data analytics tools.
  • Familiarity with Network Protocols such as TCP/IP, MQTT, and CAN bus for device communication.
  • Strong Problem-Solving and Troubleshooting Skills to analyze, diagnose, and resolve technical issues efficiently.
  • Excellent Communication and Collaboration Skills to work effectively in cross-functional and remote teams if required.
  • Knowledge of emerging telematics trends and cybersecurity best practices to ensure systems are secure and optimized.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field preferred.
  • Experience in GPS tracking or IoT-related industries is an advantage.
