Overview
The Technology Strategy & Innovation System Analyst provides technical expertise, strategic planning, and recommendations to executive management for new technologies and network applications in response to business needs. He/She works with internal/external partners to evaluate and design solutions for business and customer requirements which will integrate with and enhance DITO network. Apply complex design principles and methodology to ensure cost-effective and optimal use of resources and technology without jeopardizing network integrity.
Accountability
- Participate in selection of technical solutions, evaluate technologies and architectures, Able to create HLD and LLD
- Ensures new designs and implementations align with the anticipated Sales and Marketing demands over the next 5 years plus
- Gather, compile, and synthesize market, competitive, network, financial and other data to aid and drive decision making.
- Able to develop business case for new product/service proposals, including needs and impact assessments, cost/benefit analysis and financial/operational impacts. Socialize concepts across the organization.
Functions and Responsibilities
- To establish, define and implement standards, system architecture patterns, guiding principles, roadmaps and best practices for solutions that align with DITO business strategy.
- To design solution activities with a business wide mindset. This involves understanding the complex interactions between systems, and the underlying architectures, facilitating solutions that are standardized and integrated into the landscape and easy support and upgrades.
- Oversee planning, design, and participate in business requirements for technically advanced internetworking solutions.
- Perform research and development activities required to evaluate, select, acquire, and implement technology systems
- Provide advice and consulting to senior management and the business areas in the development and implementation of technology, services, and application solutions.
- Design of critical network infrastructures to support products and services (in terms of functionality and capacity), on both a strategic (long term) and tactical (immediate term) level.
Educational Requirements
- Primary Degree: Bachelor's Degree or higher in Electronics & Communications Engineering (ECE).
- Professional EE License: Registered Electronics Engineer.
- Technical knowledge (Preferred):
- Cloud & Virtualization: Vendor-specific such as Huawei, ICT Professional, Cloud Computing, Linux and OpenStack Administrator, or VMware VCP.
- 5G/Core Network: Know 3GPP standards in 4G/5G Core (5GC/EPC/IMS) architecture and Network Function Virtualization (NFV).
- Cloud-Native: Kubernetes Administrator or experience with containerization (Docker/Kubernetes).
Job Skills & Qualifications
- More than 5 years working experience in Mobile network of Telecom industry (experiences in Telco's preferred). Hands-on in core network planning and designing. Familiar with network planning, set parameters and tool specially in the environment of Network function virtualization (NFV) for Core Network, 4G and 5G technology.
- Knowledge of cloud hardware platforms, DC infrastructure, cloud storage products, Linux, and OpenStack background
- Familiar with network technology (IP Switches and Router, Load Balancer, Security, Bare metal, Virtual Machine, containers)
- Knowledge in various protocol stack, signalling and Core Network interfaces with other nodes (i.e. PS/IMS/HSS/PCRF/SMSC Core, Charging OCS, OSS/BSS and RAN). Able to illustrate signalling call flow scenarios
- Outstanding abilities of communication, collaboration, coordination, and negotiation required.
- Able to work independently with minimum supervision, Flexible and responsive to changing work patterns and demands
- Fundamental knowledge of telecom network rollout, system integration builds and network optimization workflow
- Able to work pro-actively in DITO Internally and external partner, vendors, and subcontractors.
- Education background:Bachelor and above in Electronics & Communications Engineering / Computer Engineering or related degree
- Proficiency in MS Office and other daily office software.
