Technology Specialist provide expert consultancy within his/her area of specialism. This may be a business/functional area and/or a particular technology. He/she develops and/or promotes technical solutions which support the business requirements within hie/her area of expertise. They may be accountable for specific deliverables in relation to IT development or support or may lead the technical activity within his/her area of specialism. The Technology Specialist must always be available to offer the necessary support to the employees. It can be both internal and external assistance.

Qualifications
- Extensive knowledge of information technologies and systems.
- Ability to coordinate at multiple levels and provide great customer service.
- Taking ownership of all IT related issues.
- Exposure to technical writing.
- Hardware and software certification.
- A degree level of education in an IT discipline or have the equivalence in training, experience and exposure
- Recognized expert in a relevant specific specialism, e.g. technical infrastructure (networks, security), systems, databases, business area, specific development toolset
- Experience of successfully leading technical evaluations
- Experience of resolving technical issues, including those involving 3rd parties
