As part of KPMG's Technology Risk and Assurance, you will help organizations build confidence in their technology environments by assessing the systems, processes, and controls that support critical business operations. Your work will directly influence stakeholders ranging from audit committees and C-suite executives to regulators and investors.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Accounting Information Systems, Internal Auditing, Information Technology, Computer Science, or other related disciplines are preferred. However, candidates with relevant skills, experience, and a strong interest in IT Audit and Technology Risk and Assurance are encouraged to apply.
  • Fresh graduates are welcome to apply. Candidates with 0-2 year(s) of relevant work experience in IT Audit, Technology Risk and Assurance, IT Compliance, Internal Audit, Information Technology, or related fields is an advantage but not required.
  • Professional certifications such as CPA, CISA, CIA, or equivalent qualifications are advantageous.

Technical & Professional Skills

  • Basic understanding of information technology, business processes, internal controls, risk management, or audit concepts gained through academic studies, internships, or relevant work experience.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail and a willingness to learn.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Exposure to ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Workday, Microsoft Dynamics) or other enterprise applications is an advantage but not required.
  • Familiarity with data analytics, reporting, or automation tools (e.g., SQL, Power BI, Python, Alteryx) is a plus.
  • Demonstrates curiosity and openness to using emerging technologies and AI-enabled tools to improve productivity and enhance work delivery.

Soft Skills

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to convey ideas clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Effective team player with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate in a dynamic environment.
  • Demonstrates initiative, adaptability, and a positive attitude towards learning and professional development.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the execution of IT audit, technology risk, and assurance engagements for a diverse portfolio of clients.
  • Perform testing of IT general controls, business process controls, and data-related procedures under the supervision of senior team members.
  • Document processes, risks, controls, testing procedures, and audit findings in accordance with established methodologies and quality standards.
  • Analyze information, identify control gaps or improvement opportunities, and support the development of recommendations for clients.
  • Work collaboratively with engagement teams to deliver high-quality client service and meet project objectives.
  • Develop technical knowledge in technology risk, cybersecurity, data analytics, IT governance, and emerging technologies through on-the-job learning and formal training.
  • Collaborate with local and global teams while contributing innovative ideas that support continuous improvement and business transformation initiatives.
  • Comfortable working across hybrid project environments, including client-site engagements and adjusting schedules as needed to meet project objectives.
