Job Description
Join our Technology Consulting Internship Talent Pool and gain valuable exposure to cybersecurity and data privacy projects. As a Technology Consulting Intern, you will assist in Vulnerability Assessment and Penetration Testing (VAPT), Security Assessments, and Data Privacy engagements while developing practical technical, research, and risk assessment skills in a professional environment. Key Responsibilities
Vulnerability Assessment and Penetration Testing (VAPT)
- Provide assistance in deploying VAPT tools on KPMG approved target hosts.
- Help the engagement team in preparing and running automated tools to identify vulnerabilities in systems and networks.
- Help the engagement team in researching on appropriate exploit to be used on the identified vulnerability during penetration testing. The development of the research exploit must undergo testing and receive approval from a supervisor prior to execution.
- Help the engagement team in generating raw reports of vulnerability assessment scans and penetration tests from the scanning tool.
- Research on latest security threats and vulnerabilities, and learn about new tools and techniques in conduction VAPT activities.
Security Assessment
- Conduct research on potential threats and vulnerabilities in the organization's systems and infrastructure.
- Conduct information gathering during Security Assessment walkthrough sessions and interviews.
- Provide assistance in performing security assessments using automated tools and manual techniques.
- Help the engagement team in gathering raw reports, findings, and recommendations from the Security Assessment tool. The finalization of the report must receive approval from a supervisor.
- Draft the minutes of the meeting for review and approval of engagement supervisor and manager.
- Research on the latest industry standards, best practices, and emerging risks in the field of Cybersecurity.
Data Privacy
- Assist engagement team in gathering data during the conduct of privacy assessment, including, but not limited to, various systems, processes, procedures, and projects.
- Participate and understand the team's identification of privacy risks and concerns.
- Assist engagement team in documenting results of assessment of privacy risks and concerns.
- Assist in monitoring data privacy level using maturity assessment and Risk & Control matrix.
- Draft minutes of the meeting for review and approval of engagement supervisor and manager.
- Research on the latest trends and developments in both local and international data privacy practices.
- Such other tasks that may be assigned in accordance with the general guidance stated above.
Qualifications
- Currently an undergraduate student enrolled in any technology-related programs
- Possesses foundational knowledge in cybersecurity, research, and risk assessment
- Demonstrates strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Highly detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills
- Willing to work in a hybrid work arrangement
