JOB SUMMARY

The Technology Business Partner acts as the strategic liaison between the IT department and business units. With sharp focus on Customer Centricity, Innovation, and Value-Driven Transformation, the Tech Partner drives value through technology-enabled transformation. The Technology Business Partner understands business needs, translates them into IT requirements, and ensures that technology investments are aligned with business goals, accelerates innovation cycles, and champions customer-first digital experiences.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Customer Centricity

  • Serve as the voice of the customer within the technology team, ensuring that technology solutions are aligned with customer needs and expectations.
  • Collaborate with business leaders to design and implement customer-first digital experiences, enhancing satisfaction and engagement through innovative solutions.
  • Analyze customer feedback and data to continuously optimize digital products and services, ensuring they meet or exceed customer expectations.

Innovation Leadership

  • Identify and evaluate emerging technologies and industry trends to propose new business opportunities and strategic initiatives.
  • Drive the innovation pipeline, including ideation, proof of concept (PoC) and pilot programs that align with business objectives.
  • Foster a culture of innovation within the organization, encouraging experimentation and agility to solve complex business challenges.

Digitalization & Transformation

  • Lead and partner in the digital transformation journey, aligning technology roadmaps with business strategies to ensure successful implementation.
  • Oversee and contribute to key digital initiatives such as cloud adoption, data-driven decision-making, automation, and enterprise system modernization.
  • Ensure that digitalization efforts are scalable, sustainable, and aligned with modern architectural principles like microservices, APIs, and cloud-native technologies.

Strategic Business Partnering

  • Act as a trusted advisor to senior business leaders, offering strategic guidance on how technology can solve business challenges and unlock new opportunities.
  • Work closely with functional leaders (e.g., Sales, Marketing, Operations) to ensure the alignment of technology solutions with organizational goals.
  • Translate business objectives into actionable technology strategies, leading cross-functional teams to deliver on these initiatives.

Data-Driven Decision Making

  • Support the integration of advanced analytics, machine learning, and AI to unlock insights and improve business performance.
  • Collaborate with the data science and analytics teams to create data-driven solutions that enhance customer experiences and optimize operations.

Governance & Risk Management

  • Ensure technology solutions comply with relevant regulations, security standards, and governance frameworks.
  • Manage stakeholder expectations, balancing the need for rapid innovation with risk management, compliance, and quality assurance.

SUCCESS METRICS

  • Increased customer satisfaction (NPS, digital adoption rates)
  • Acceleration of innovation cycles (PoC-to-Production velocity)
  • ROI on digital initiatives (time-to-value, cost savings, revenue impact)
  • Business unit satisfaction with technology partnership
  • Growth in digitally-enabled products or services

EDUCATION, TRAININGS, LICENSES REQUIRED:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Management, Computer Science, or related fields.
  • 15+ years of experience in IT business partnership, IT system reviews, cost management, or digital transformation.
  • Strong analytical skills in cost control, IT asset optimization, and vendor management.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to bridge the gap between technical teams and business functions.
  • Experience in project management and working with cross-functional teams.
