Job Title: Technician Trainer - Body and Paint

Position Type: 12 months Contract

Location: Algeria

Salary Range / Rate: USD 1,500 per month. Relocation support, visa, housing and air fare will be provided

Job Description:

Responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of vehicle bodywork, ranging from minor to major repairs, while ensuring compliance with safety inspection requirements and manufacturer quality standards. Accountable for delivering high-quality workmanship and transferring technical expertise to local employees through coaching and training, enhancing their Body & Paint (B&P) capabilities and supporting long-term skill development.

Responsibilities:

• Perform vehicle Body & Paint (B&P) repairs, including panel beating, chassis alignment, parts replacement, painting, polishing, and finishing for minor to major damage.
• Diagnose body and paint issues, identify root causes, and recommend appropriate repair solutions.
• Support frontline staff in B&P damage assessment, repair planning, and cost estimation.
• Complete repairs according to Repair Orders, manufacturer standards, safety requirements, and allocated flat-rate times, ensuring right-first-time quality.
• Conduct final quality inspections to ensure repairs meet manufacturer specifications before vehicle delivery.
• Communicate repair progress, technical findings, and additional repair requirements to the Chief Technician.
• Maintain accurate Repair Order (RO) documentation, time clocking, and service records.
• Ensure proper use of protective equipment, vehicle protection materials, workshop tools, and Special Service Tools (SST), while maintaining a clean and safe 4S work environment.
• Provide hands-on technical support and troubleshooting for complex Body & Paint repairs.
• Conduct practical training and coaching to develop the technical competency of local technicians and apprentices.
• Coordinate with equipment suppliers and share the latest Body & Paint technologies and repair techniques with the team.
• Promote continuous improvement by developing technician skill matrices, identifying training needs, and driving Kaizen and Quality Control Circle (QCC) initiatives.

Requirements:

• Diploma or equivalent qualification in Body & Paint (Panel Beating), Automotive Engineering, or a related technical field (e.g., CAP, TS, or equivalent certification).
• Minimum 5 years of experience in vehicle repair and maintenance, with strong technical knowledge of drivetrain, chassis, body repair, and painting systems.
