Job Description:
- Reports to facilities operations and maintenance engineer or to shift leader.
- Operates, maintains and repairs facilities equipment with minimum cost and downtime at optimum efficiency.
- Highlights any event, condition or incident that could affect the reliable, continuous and efficient operation of facilities equipment.
- Performs routine inspection facilities equipment and reports abnormalities.
- Monitors contractors activities and ensure all activities conform to established safety policies and quality standards
- Timely responds to any production concern about the facilities and the building, resolves any issues found and deploys technicians/manpower when necessary.
- Automatically acts as shift-in-charge in the absence of a designated shift supervisor.
- Prepares reports for any trouble or untoward incident that happened within his shift.
- Validates records and information gathered and reported by the Technicians.
- Initiates and assists on improvement of individual and group performance.
- Initiates communications with production for any projects, unplanned shutdowns, or emergencies that could affect the operations.
- Initiates and/or suggests system's improvements that will result to cost savings, eliminate safety hazards, and maximize equipment life.
- Submits performance appraisals of technicians (outsource).
- Initiates disciplinary actions for any infraction committed by technicians (outsource)
Requirements/Qualifications:
- Must know and understand electrical and/or mechanical concepts, practical uses, methods, standards and procedures.
- Must know how to identify, analyze, troubleshoot and repair electrical and/or mechanical problems.
- Able to read, interpret and analyze electrical and/or mechanical diagrams.
- Must know how to use common electrical and/or mechanical testers, tools and gadgets.
- Must know, understand and follow mechanical and electrical safety procedures
- Able to lead his team to achieve objective by initiating small group activities for facilities concern.
- Documentation and reports preparation
- Computer literate.
- Preferably college level in an engineering course or graduate or undergraduate of the following technical or vocational course: Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics technology
- Minimum 6 years work experience in related fields.
- Proficient in MS office
- Basic knowledge on operations, maintenance and troubleshooting of the ff:
- Compressed dry air system, air-conditioning system, process vacuum
- UPS systems, generators / emergency power systems, high voltage systems
- Must know how to use common electrical & mechanical tools
- Must know how to identify, analyze, troubleshoot and repair mechanical / electrical problems.
