Job Description:
JOB SUMMARY:
HP-MCU BU Technician is primarily responsible for sustaining product health, safekeeping & inventory of tools/hardwares/engineering units, and supporting BU PE/TE engineering activities/evaluations. He will interact with people from Business Units, Engineering Support Groups, Manufacturing/Operations to release test programs, prepare test setups, and support implementation of various test solutions.
JOB DETAILS:
• Provide support on engineering activities (Product/Process Qual, Test Program Validation and Release, Test Insertion Elimination, Samples Generation, Customer Support) of HP-MCU BU Product/Test Engineers, both at Wafer Sort and Final Test.
• Perform initial validation and datalogging of reliability rejects. This includes preparing the test program, loadboard and tester setup to use.
• Monitor evaluation lots and engineering samples especially during weekends or night shift providing status report on a regular basis.
• Communicate and coordinate with Operations/Flexcell/Planning the priorities on NPD Engineering stations and drive proper endorsement of issues and activities as often needed.
• Coordinates with maintenance, operators, and/or supervisors on engineering setup and expedites execution of assigned tasks.
• Route documents for approval such as Work Instruction (WI), Esign, Diebank Inventory Request Form (DIRF), Dispatch, Gatepass and Shipping Forms.
• Manage hardwares (probecard, loadboard, sockets/contactors), tooling and engineering units inventory in the lab and implement 5S.
• Shipment of tools, boards and units including preparation of shipping documents and packing the items.
• Setup, troubleshooting, maintenance, calibration, PM and repair of engineering tools and equipment.
• Pull-out and safe keep the rejects from production for engineering analysis. And do initial validation as necessary.
• Manual testing of engineering samples at the Lab for urgent customer requests.
• Knowledgeable in measuring instruments (Oscilloscope, DMM, signal gen, etc.)
Requirements/Qualifications:
• Knowledge and interest in semiconductor (Micro-controllers, Flash memory) test methods.
• Interpersonal and communication skills, and leadership.
• Advanced computer skills, including familiarity with personal computer hardware and network systems.
• Ability to work well with co-workers, volunteers and visitors.
• Highly energetic and self-motivated; ability to work as an individual or as a team member.
• Good analytical skills
• Knowledge on QC tools, 5S, Why-Why analysis, SPC and other test methodology.
• Able to work independently, systematically.
• Proactive, takes initiative and responsible.
• Ability to coordinate multiple tasks in a global environment.
• Can work with cross functional team; or has exposure on a multi-cultural setup/ function.
• Ability to adapt successfully to multiple tasks that occur in a rapidly changing environment.
• Able to communicate effectively in both spoken and written English.
