TECHNICAL ENGINEER – DAVAO

About The Role

Handlink, Inc. is looking for a dependable and hands-on Technical Engineer to support the installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of IT, network, security, and auxiliary systems.

This role involves a combination of office coordination, site work, project implementation, and customer support. You will assist with site surveys, prepare technical information, support project implementation, troubleshoot technical issues, and help ensure that completed work is properly tested and documented.

You do not need to know every system from the beginning. We are looking for someone with a strong technical foundation, willingness to learn, and discipline to follow through on assignments.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct or assist with site surveys and gather information needed for project planning and implementation.
• Support the design, installation, configuration, testing, and maintenance of technical systems.
• Troubleshoot hardware, network, connectivity, and system-related concerns.
• Coordinate with clients, suppliers, contractors, and internal teams during project implementation.
• Assist in preparing technical recommendations, equipment requirements, and basic Bills of Materials (BOM).
• Monitor assigned project activities and provide timely updates on progress, concerns, and next steps.
• Perform preventive maintenance and recommend corrective actions when issues are identified.
• Check completed work and help ensure installations meet project requirements and quality standards.
• Prepare service reports, site reports, test results, and other technical documentation.
• Provide onsite or remote technical support when required.
• Perform other related technical duties as reasonably assigned.
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related technical course.
• At least 1 year of relevant experience in technical support, systems installation, network support, field engineering, or a similar role.
• Basic working knowledge of IP networking, switching, routing, wireless technologies, or network security.
• Ability to diagnose technical concerns and explain findings clearly.
• Comfortable working onsite at client locations and handling field assignments.
• Able to manage multiple tasks while keeping documentation and status updates organized.
• Good attention to detail and willingness to follow established procedures.
• Able to work independently while coordinating with technical teams and supervisors.
• Willing to travel within Davao and nearby areas when project requirements call for it.
  
  

Preferred Experience

Experience in any of the following is an advantage:

• CCTV and video surveillance
• Access control and biometric systems
• Structured cabling
• Wireless and network infrastructure
• Servers, storage, and endpoint devices
• Fire detection and public address systems
• Other auxiliary systems
• System testing and commissioning
• Preventive maintenance
  
  

Relevant technical certifications are an advantage but are not required.
