Overview
We are looking for a Technical Support Representative to join our team. In this role, you will help monitor, analyze, and respond to security-related activities across the company's systems and networks. You will work closely with experienced security professionals in a collaborative and supportive environment that encourages continuous learning and development. This role offers the opportunity to build hands-on experience in cybersecurity operations while contributing to the protection of the company's information assets.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor the company's systems and networks using security monitoring tools to identify potential threats, suspicious activity, or vulnerabilities.
- Review and analyze security logs and alerts from multiple systems and data sources to detect unusual or unauthorized activities.
- Investigate security events and incidents by gathering and interpreting relevant data to determine potential risks or security breaches.
- Assist in the incident response process, including identifying, containing, and resolving security-related issues while following established procedures.
- Support the configuration and maintenance of security tools such as intrusion prevention systems, web application firewalls, remote access solutions, email security gateways, and data protection technologies.
- Contribute to the monitoring and management of security systems including proxy services, wireless security, and event monitoring platforms.
- Analyze third-party software, infrastructure changes, and system configurations to assess potential security risks.
- Stay informed about emerging security threats, vulnerabilities, and industry trends that may impact the organization's information assets.
- Assist in evaluating potential risks related to compliance standards and data protection requirements.
- Support initiatives to improve security processes and contribute to cost-effective security solutions for systems and applications.
- Perform daily operational security tasks while collaborating with the broader Information Security team.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Basic understanding of information security concepts, including threat monitoring, security incidents, and risk management.
- Familiarity with system logs, network monitoring tools, or security event monitoring platforms.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to review and interpret technical data.
- Willingness to work onsite in Vertis North, Quezon City on a shifting schedule.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team environment.
- Exposure to security monitoring tools such as SIEM, intrusion detection, or intrusion prevention systems.
- Knowledge of security frameworks or compliance standards such as ISO standards, PCI guidelines, or data privacy principles related to personally identifiable information.
