Your Role And Responsibilities

We are seeking a motivated entry-level IT Help Desk Specialist to join our IT Nuclear team in a remote capacity. This role provides comprehensive remote IT support for desktop services, software management, and user assistance across our nuclear facilities. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical curiosity, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to delivering outstanding customer service in a regulated environment.

Required Technical And Professional Expertise

Remote Desktop Support

  • Provide remote troubleshooting and technical assistance for workstations, laptops, and peripherals
  • Guide users through software installation, configuration, and updates via remote support tools
  • Assist with user account management, password resets, and access control requests
  • Resolve network connectivity issues and provide remote configuration support
  • Support mobile devices and iPads, including MDM troubleshooting and setup
  • Deliver clear, patient remote assistance to users across multiple facilities
  • Create and maintain documentation for common issues and solutions
  • Track and manage support tickets using IT service management tools
  • Provide training and guidance to end users on software applications and IT best practices

Preferred Technical And Professional Experience

  • Advanced Database Skills: Exposure to advanced database management concepts, including data modeling, database design, and performance tuning, to effectively manage and troubleshoot complex database-related issues.
  • Multiple Programming Languages: Experience working with multiple programming languages, including understanding their syntax, data structures, and common libraries, to analyze and resolve technical issues.
  • ITIL Framework Expertise: Familiarity with the ITIL framework, including incident, change, and problem management processes, to ensure alignment with industry best practices and effective issue resolution.
