About the Role

The Technical Driver Trainer / Professional Development Trainer is responsible for developing and conducting comprehensive training programs for drivers, covering safe driving practices, defensive driving, vehicle operation, road safety, proper vehicle handling, and compliance with company policies and transportation regulations. The role facilitates classroom and practical driving sessions, conducts skills assessments, and provides coaching and refresher training to ensure drivers meet required safety, technical, and performance standards. The Trainer should also be capable of operating a forklift and conducting basic forklift-related training, safety orientation, and competency assessments. The role also supports the professional development of drivers by providing training on customer service, communication, workplace discipline, proper conduct, and other competencies essential to their roles. The Trainer evaluates individual performance, identifies training and competency gaps, maintains accurate training records, and prepares reports on training results and effectiveness. The position works closely with Operations, HR, and other departments to ensure continuous driver development while promoting a strong culture of safety, professionalism, operational excellence, and continuous learning.

Qualifications

• A valid driver's license and forklift operator certification/license, as applicable, are required.

Required Skills

• Capability of operating a forklift.
• Capability of conducting basic forklift-related training, safety orientation, and competency assessments.
• Ability to facilitate classroom and practical driving sessions.
• Ability to conduct skills assessments.
• Ability to provide coaching and refresher training.
