Job Description
Amplify Labs (makers of iFax) is hiring a Technical Solutions Specialist to be the person our customer team turns to when a technical issue gets hard. You'll take escalations from our support and customer success teams, work out where a fax or integration is actually failing, fix what you can, and give Engineering a clear case when you can't.
A bit about us: We're at an exciting point in our growth as we launch Amplify. Work from anywhere, this role just needs you to cover full US business hours. We're a small, dynamic, global team, which means real ownership, real impact, and room to grow as we build. We hire everyone as independent contractors. To understand in more detail what we value and how we work, please review our careers page: https://www.amplify.xyz/careers
What you'll actually be doing:
- Taking technical escalations from our support and customer success teams and working them through to a confirmed fix
- Reading logs and API responses to find where a fax or integration is failing
- Handing Engineering clear write-ups: impact, evidence, and what you've already checked
- Spotting issues that keep coming back across customers and getting them fixed for good
- Joining customer calls to diagnose complex issues live and keeping customers updated
- Writing up fixes and helping keep our escalation SOPs current
You might be a fit if you have:
3–5 years in technical support, support engineering, technical account management or solutions engineering at a SaaS company
Hands-on troubleshooting skills: you read logs, understand API responses, and can walk us through real issues you've solved
Experience with APIs and integrations, and the ability to triage them without a developer on every call
Experience running a technical ticket queue (Zendesk or similar) and spotting repeat problems
Clear, confident spoken and written English with US customers
Reliable coverage of full US business hours
Bonus: US healthcare or EHR integration experience, and VoIP or fax-over-IP (T.38) knowledge
Please note: you'll need to be able to work full US business hours (Mountain Time or Pacific Time). Excellent written and spoken English, and confidence leading conversations with US customers, are essential.
Amplify is likely not a fit for you if:
- You need to be told what to do before you move
- Someone has to chase you for a status update
- You let a risk sit quietly and hope it resolves itself
- A mistake is something you hide, not learn from
Our process:
- CV & voice screening review
- Async AI video interview
- Short take-home assessment (30–45 minutes)
- Technical interview with our Head of Customer Experience
- Final interview with our COO
- Offer
We plan to align to this schedule
- Applications & AI Interviews complete by 10 November
- Assessments period 11-13 November
- Technical interviews run from 18-20 November
- Final interviews 23-25 November
Compensation: 1500-2000 USD per month, depending on experience, skills, and fit.
