POSITION PURPOSE

The position is for an experienced candidate that has demonstrated capabilities and experience operating in various Managed End User Computing environment and has an ambition to progress their career within an Application Packaging role.

The role supports and drives the technical agenda of the managed End User Computing environment, with a focus on delivering quality Application Packaging solutions with minimal supervision and be able to take initiative and look at the bigger picture.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Works within support team on technical issues and problems related to customer infrastructure.
  • Performs discovery of customer business applications to gather installation, configuration requirements and test plans to be converted to an Application Package for deployment to customer environment
  • Coordination of User Acceptance Testing (UAT) with customer SME's
  • Develops an understanding of the customers environment and service requirements to enable successful delivery of the service.
  • Follows established procedures, recommends improvements, and resolves enquiries, issues or problems. Documents actions taken for continuous service improvement.
    • Takes ownership of issues identified. Tries to understand the problem in order to find optimal solution or temporary workaround. Escalates and/or gains support where necessary to resolve the problem. Co-operates with account team and/or vendor support to provide technical input into incident and problem resolution process.
    • Escalates issues as necessary to deliver required service level.
    • Is proactive and takes responsibility for learning about current products, systems builds and infrastructure layouts to support daily business requirements.
    • A strong ambition in progressing career in Application Packaging
    • Experience deploying multiple applications across a virtual environment
    • Assist with the development and enhancement of relevant standards, procedures and guidelines
    • Where possible identify and contribute to Customer Service Improvement Plans (CSIP's)
    • Provide support to multiple customers and in different locations
    • When required provide backfill for other support teams and staff
    • After-hours and weekend work may be required
    • Personal and team administration duties are completed in a timely manner, and in accordance with company policy including timesheets, leave, overtime, on-call, time in-lieu and expense claims
    • Other reasonable duties as directed by company management
Technical Competencies

  • Excellent Intune/MECM troubleshooting skills, in particular application integration and deployment and to identify and resolve failures
  • Knowledge in Windows registry administration, Windows process and services,
  • Experience with troubleshooting Windows 10 and greater operating system
  • Understanding of basic MSI properties and command lines
  • Basic VBScript and Power Shell scripting skills
