Job Brief
We are seeking a Technical Service Engineer with Energy Storage experience to support the installation, commissioning, and after-sales service of battery energy storage systems (BESS) in the Philippines. This role focuses on ensuring system reliability, fast issue resolution, and high customer satisfaction through professional technical support.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide on-site and remote technical support for energy storage systems, including installation, commissioning, and system testing
- Handle after-sales service issues such as alarms, faults, and performance problems of BESS, inverters, and EMS
- Perform troubleshooting and root cause analysis for battery, PCS, BMS, and communication-related issues
- Support system operation, maintenance, and firmware/software upgrades
- Conduct technical training for customers, EPCs, and partners on energy storage products
- Prepare service reports, fault analysis reports, and technical documentation
- Coordinate with sales, project, and HQ technical teams to resolve complex technical problems
- Ensure compliance with local electrical codes, safety standards, and company service procedures
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Renewable Energy, or related fields
- 2+ years of experience in energy storage, battery systems, or power electronics
- Familiar with BESS architecture, including battery, PCS, BMS, EMS, and protection systems
- Experience with lithium-ion battery systems is highly preferred
- Strong troubleshooting and field service capabilities
- Good communication skills in English; Tagalog or other local languages are a plus
- Willingness to travel within the Philippines for site support
- Customer-focused, proactive, and able to work independently
