Reporting to: Managing Officer

The Technical Sales Manager leads the sales function for solar solutions, driving revenue growth by developing strategic accounts, providing technical guidance, and managing a team of Business Development Officers (BDOs). Ensures alignment with business objectives, maximizes sales opportunities, and maintains a competitive edge in the market.

Other requirements include the following:

  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans for key accounts and market segments.
  • Identify and pursue business opportunities for solar solutions, including new markets and account expansion.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (product, technical, finance) to ensure sales strategies are aligned with company objectives.
  • Open or source potential clients.
  • Build and maintain strong, trusted relationships with clients, acting as a technical advisor.
  • Address customer needs and challenges with tailored solar solutions.
  • Drive customer retention and expand business within assigned accounts.

To succeed and grow in this role, you will be required to meet the following qualifications:

  • Minimum 8 years of sales experience, with at least 2 years in leadership role
  • Experience in B2B sales, preferably in renewable energy, solar, or technical solutions
  • Leadership and coaching skills to manage and develop BDOs effectively
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills with internal and external stakeholders
  • Negotiation skills to secure deals and maintain long-term partnerships
  • Technical knowledge of solar products , systems, and solutions
  • Solid understanding of sales techniques, forecasting, and market analysis
  • Analytical ability to interpret data and provide actionable insights
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Engineering, or related field, preferably a licensed engineer.
