Job Description

The Technical Sales Engineer drives profitable growth by combining technical expertise with strong commercial execution. This role manages the full sales cycle from identifying opportunities and understanding customer needs, to proposal development, contract closing, and delivery support.

In a growing business environment, the role also supports vendor coordination, process improvement, and effective positioning of integrated power solutions in the market.

Key Responsibilities

Business Development

  • Identify and pursue new sales opportunities
  • Manage sales pipeline and lead tracking
  • Support market mapping initiatives

Sales Execution

  • Prepare quotations, proposals, and bid submissions
  • Coordinate technical and commercial requirements
  • Support negotiations within approved guidelines
  • Ensure complete and accurate documentation

Technical & Product Support

  • Act as SME for electrical and power solutions
  • Respond to technical queries
  • Ensure compliance with applicable standards

Account & Project Support

  • Manage assigned accounts and client relationships
  • Support project handover and delivery monitoring
  • Track billing and payment follow-ups

Vendor Coordination

  • Support supplier sourcing and Request For Quotations (RFQs)
  • Manage technical submissions and accreditation
  • Monitor supplier performance

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
  • 35 years of experience in technical or solution-based sales within the power, electrical, or electrical engineering services industry
  • Strong working knowledge of power distribution systems and LV/MV equipment
  • Experience in portfolio management and contract execution
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to manage the full sales cycle and build client relationships
