About the Role

Technical QA Engineer

Validate the quality, accuracy and reliability of applications, data pipelines and migration deliverables. Provide independent test evidence and clear release-readiness assessments so business users can rely on migrated and transformed data.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

Test Planning:

• Develop test plans and cases from requirements, mappings and business rules.
• Maintain traceability and coverage of critical business scenarios.

Application and API Testing:

• Execute functional, integration, regression, API and database tests.
• Coordinate performance, access-control and specialist security testing.

Data and Migration Validation:

• Use SQL to reconcile counts, control totals, completeness and transformation logic.
• Test incremental loads, duplicates, referential integrity, restarts and recovery.

Automation and Test Data:

• Build repeatable automated checks and reusable test datasets.
• Protect sensitive information using approved masking or synthetic data.
• Defect Management:
• Record reproducible defects, assess severity and coordinate triage.
• Verify fixes and track unresolved issues and production defect leakage.
• UAT and Release Readiness:
• Support business UAT, migration rehearsals and cutover validation.
• Provide independent QA evidence and risk assessments; authorized owners approve release.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• At least 3 years of software or data testing experience, including database testing and data reconciliation.
• Strong SQL skills and working knowledge of relational databases, ETL/ELT processes and test design techniques.
• Experience with defect tracking, test evidence, regression testing and API testing tools.
• Ability to investigate discrepancies, assess business impact and communicate quality risks objectively.

• Experience with Python-based test automation, CI/CD quality checks or performance testing tools.
• ISTQB certification or equivalent practical testing experience; healthcare or insurance domain exposure.
