We are seeking a Technical Project Manager to lead the end-to-end delivery of automation, AI, and advanced digital solutions for externally engaged projects across RELX Business Units. This role goes beyond traditional project management — it requires hands-on technical assessment capability to evaluate solution approaches, validate delivery feasibility, and ensure technical rigor across the full AI and automation delivery lifecycle: - Ideation, Qualification, Implementation, Deployment, and Maintenance - ensuring solutions move from concept to production with clarity, rigor, and measurable impact.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
- 8+ years of experience (10+ years preferred) in technical delivery roles such as Technical Project Manager, Delivery Lead, Engineering Manager, or similar.
- Demonstrated experience delivering complex, multi-technology initiatives in enterprise environments.
- Strong ability to translate technical concepts into clear delivery plans and business level communication.
- Familiarity with enterprise delivery and service management tools (e.g., Jira, ServiceNow).
- Strong ownership and accountability for delivery outcomes.
- Ability to simplify complex technical topics for diverse audiences.
- Effective communication and collaboration across business and technology teams.
- Comfort operating in ambiguity and navigating evolving requirements.
- Structured, proactive, and calm under delivery pressure.
- Sound judgment in balancing technical rigor with practical delivery constraints
Preferred
- Experience delivering automation-led or AI-enabled transformation initiatives.
- Background in AMS, BAU operations, or hybrid delivery models combining run and change.
- Familiarity with enterprise delivery and service management tools (e.g., Jira, ServiceNow).
- Experience working with cross-functional and geographically distributed teams.
- Exposure to AI/ML lifecycle concepts including data preparation, model development, evaluation, deployment, and monitoring.
Responsibilities:
- Delivery Lifecycle Management - Own and manage initiatives across the full delivery lifecycle: Ideation, Qualification, Implementation, Deployment, and Maintenance.
- Ideation & Qualification - Draft and prepare initiative proposals — including scope definition, delivery approach, resource estimates, timeline, risk assessment, and investment considerations — for review and sign-off by the DSH Automation & AI Leaders.
- Technical Delivery & Implementation - Lead execution of approved initiatives with DSH Delivery Teams, including automation engineers, AI specialists, developers, and platform teams.
- Deployment & Release Management - Act as the primary escalation point during deployment and stabilization phases.
- Maintenance & Continuous Improvement - Oversee transition to BAU or support models following deployment.
Technology Stack Exposure:
- Low Code / No Code Platforms: Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, AI Builder), UiPath (including AI Center and Agentic Automation)
- AI & Copilot Platforms: Microsoft 365 Copilot and Copilot Studio, enterprise LLM platforms such as ChatGPT Enterprise
- Full Stack & Cloud Technologies: Python-based solutions, test automation frameworks (e.g., Playwright), and cloud platforms such as AWS and Microsoft Azure
Stakeholder & Cross Functional Collaboration
Work closely with:
- DSH Leaders for strategic alignment and delivery direction
- External Engagement Manager for engagement coordination and stakeholder alignment
- DSH Delivery Teams for technical execution, solution validation and delivery
- Business Stakeholders for requirements validation, UAT coordination, and outcome realization
Quality, Governance & Risk Management
- Ensure delivery aligns with enterprise governance, security, and compliance standards.
- Proactively identify delivery, technical, and operational risks and drive mitigation plans.
- Maintain high standards for documentation, delivery hygiene, and transition readiness.
