Job Description

Maya is building, from the ground up, a new system that will decide how millions of Filipinos save and grow their money. We're looking for a Technical Product Manager to own that build end to end the roadmap, the requirements, and the phased rollout that brings it to life.

This isn't a backlog-and-roadmap job. You'll go deep enough into deposit ledgers, transaction posting, and interest accrual to write requirements engineering can actually build against, and to push back when a design doesn't hold up. If you've lived through a real core banking transition before, this should be your next one; bigger, and yours to run.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

Own the deposit product roadmap

  • Set and defend the priority order across accounts, transaction processing, savings/goals, and auto-sweep; and keep lending, cards, and funding sources firmly out of scope
  • Make the sequencing call using real usage and cost data, and be ready to re-sequence when the evidence changes

Turn competing requirements into one plan

  • Sit at the table with Operations, Compliance, InfoSec, and Engineering, and reconcile what they each need into a single prioritized backlog
  • Write the user stories and acceptance criteria the build team actually works from

Run the phased, product-by-product rollout

  • Plan and execute shadow-run, front-book cutover, and back-book migration for each product in the portfolio
  • Go deep enough on account lifecycle and transaction logic to stress-test engineering's technical design before it ships

Keep the business whole during the transition

  • Own correct transaction routing while old and new systems run side by side
  • Close operational gaps before they become customer-facing incidents

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCED:

  • 8–10 years in product or technical program roles, including 4+ years on a core banking or core platform transformation, not just a vendor-side implementation
  • Hands-on experience with cutover planning and back-book migration at a financial institution
  • Direct experience with deposit or savings products specifically savings accounts, time deposits, goal-based savings
  • A track record of getting Compliance and InfoSec to sign off on non-functional requirements in a regulated environment
  • Enough technical depth to challenge an engineering design, not just approve it
  • Comfortable using AI tools day-to-day to work faster and sharper, not just aware they exist
  • A default to data over opinion when making prioritization and sequencing calls

WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE:

  • Zero customer-disrupting incidents through every shadow-run, cutover, and migration
  • On-schedule delivery against program milestones, right through to legacy decommission
  • Functional parity confirmed with Operations before every cutover. Nothing lost from the old system
  • The new platform fully live and adopted on schedule, delivering the efficiency gains that justified building it

WHY JOIN MAYA

Maya is the all-in-one money platform bringing bolder ways to master money to millions of Filipinos, and this platform is the backbone that makes it possible. To be part of Team Maya is to be Bolder for Better. Come build the system that proves it.
