Position Summary:
As a Technical Operations Analyst, you will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability and accuracy of technology systems that support order processing, inventory management, and fulfillment operations across Newtimes growing portfolio of North American retail and third-party logistics brands.
This role focuses on end-to-end validation of system workflows, ensuring that inventory levels synchronize correctly across platforms and orders flow seamlessly from eCommerce channels through ERP and warehouse systems. When issues occur, you will investigate root causes, resolve discrepancies, identify trends, and collaborate with development teams to prevent recurrence.

Primary Responsibilities:
System Monitoring & Validation
- Monitor the daily flow of orders, inventory, and fulfillment transactions across integrated systems (e.g., eCommerce platforms, ERP, WMS, and marketplace channels)
- Validate that inventory balances synchronize correctly between systems
- Confirm that orders successfully progress through all stages of the fulfillment lifecycle
- Identify and investigate anomalies such as: Inventory discrepancies between systems, Failed or delayed transactions, Missing or duplicated records, Integration failures
Troubleshooting & Issue Resolution
- Investigate system errors and data discrepancies to determine root causes
- Perform detailed analysis across logs, reports, and transaction data
- Resolve issues directly where possible or escalate to development teams when required
- Document findings, resolutions, and known issues
- Coordinate incident response and ensure timely resolution of production issues
Trend Analysis & Defect Identification
- Investigate system errors and data discrepancies to determine root causes
- Analyze recurring issues to identify systemic defects or workflow gaps
- Track trends in transaction failures or inventory mismatches
- Create defect tickets with detailed technical context
- Collaborate with development teams to validate fixes and confirm resolution
- Support root cause analysis and post-incident reviews
- Other operational activities as assigned including mass updates (e.g. item creation or updates including price updates etc.)
Preferred Requirement & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field — or equivalent practical experience
- 2+ years in a technical operations, systems support, or integration support role
- Experience supporting production business systems in retail, eCommerce, or supply chain environments
- Experience in troubleshooting data or transaction flowissues across multiple systems
- Familiarity with:
- ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite or similar)
- Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)
- eCommerce platforms (e.g., Shopify)
- System integrations or middleware (e.g., Boomi or APIs)
Technical Skills
- Strong data analysis skills using: Excel (required), SQL (preferred)
- Basic scripting or coding knowledge (JavaScript, Python, or similar) is an asset
- Ability to read logs, analyze system output, and trace transaction flows
- Experience building dashboards or reports (Power BI, Tableau, or similar preferred)
