Brief Job Description
The Technical Officer is responsible for conducting manual inspection of raw materials, in-process items, and finished goods to ensure compliance with quality and food safety standards. The role plays a critical part in maintaining product integrity through hands-on inspection, documentation, and coordination with Production and QA teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform manual inspection of raw materials, packaging materials, and finished goods based on company quality standards.
- Identify defects, non-conformances, and quality issues, and escalate findings to the appropriate team.
- Document inspection results and prepare reports on quality findings.
- Ensure compliance with GMP, HACCP, and food safety requirements.
- Monitor proper handling and storage of materials during inspection processes.
- Assist in product evaluation, quality checks, and acceptance/rejection decisions.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Food Technology, Food Science, Engineering, or related field.
- At least 1–3 years of experience in quality inspection, production, or food manufacturing.
- Willing to perform hands-on, manual inspection work in a production environment.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to detect defects and inconsistencies.
- Basic knowledge of GMP, HACCP, and quality control processes.
- Physically fit and able to stand for extended periods if required.
Preferred Qualifications (optional)
- Experience in food manufacturing or FMCG industry.
- Background in quality assurance or inspection roles.
- Familiarity with inspection tools, checklists, and quality documentation.
