Technical Lead (Remote - Philippines)

At LegalMatch, we're looking for a Technical Lead who combines deep technical expertise with hands-on leadership. In this role, you'll lead the design and development of critical software systems while remaining actively involved in coding, technical decision-making, and mentoring engineers.

You'll help shape our engineering standards, solve complex technical challenges, and leverage modern technologies including AI-assisted development tools to build scalable, high-quality software that delivers real business value.

What You'll Do

Lead Technical Delivery

• Drive the architecture, design, and development of critical software systems and platform enhancements.
• Lead by example through hands-on coding and technical decision-making.
• Solve complex engineering challenges while balancing scalability, quality, and long-term maintainability.
  
  

Build High-Quality Software

• Collaborate with engineers, Scrum Masters, and Project Managers to deliver reliable software solutions.
• Establish engineering best practices, coding standards, and quality-focused development processes.
• Ensure projects are delivered on time without compromising quality or performance.
  
  

Mentor & Grow Engineering Teams

• Coach and mentor engineers through technical guidance, feedback, and knowledge sharing.
• Foster a collaborative engineering culture focused on innovation and continuous improvement.
• Support career development while helping engineers grow their technical capabilities.
  
  

Drive Innovation

• Leverage AI-assisted development tools to improve productivity, debugging, and software delivery.
• Continuously evaluate emerging technologies and engineering practices.
• Support root cause analysis and drive improvements that strengthen system reliability and long-term platform health.
  
  

What We're Looking For

• 7+ years of software development experience, including 3+ years in a manager-level role.
• Strong hands-on experience building modern software applications using languages such as Java, C#, C++, Python, JavaScript, or similar.
• Experience with full-stack development, modern architectures, CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms.
• Strong understanding of software engineering best practices, Agile development, testing, and database design.
• Proven ability to lead technical initiatives while remaining actively involved in development.
• Experience mentoring engineers and driving engineering excellence.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Experience using or adopting AI-assisted development tools is a strong advantage.
