Job Description

At least 15+ years relevant professional experience.

  • Well established profile within the industry and actively involved in industry associations;
  • Extensive QA experience.

Has The Demonstrated Ability To Consistently

  • Provide expert advice and undertake key complex technical tasks with a high degree of independence across a broad range of projects;
  • Successfully monitor and manage the scope and risk of multiple varying size projects of varying complexity and apply business systems;
  • Apply high level skills in safety in design practices and processes;
  • Deliver best client outcomes which have resulted in cost savings;
  • Build technical capability of others;
  • Prepare complex technical reports and prepare successful proposals on small, medium and large projects;
  • Utilise excellent time management skills with the ability to efficiently plan workloads and meet deadlines;
  • Effectively work across a variety of projects continuously learning and applying new skills and knowledge quickly and efficiently;
  • Effectively manage client relationships and expectations;
  • Provide supervision and coaching to other staff;
  • Effectively engage key stakeholders to result in superior project outcomes which meet or exceed client expectations.
  • High level consulting and client management skills;
  • Business planning, budgeting and commercial acumen;
  • Ability to interpret and communicate information of a complex nature;
  • Client service orientation;
  • Proven project management skills (achieving prescribed budget, timeframe and client requirements);
  • An understanding of the business/ organisation/ marketing context of business solutions;
  • Familiar with relevant Australian Standards and specifications;
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively within a diverse and multi-disciplinary environment;
  • Skills in undertaking a co-operative and flexible work style to work in a team environment;
  • Ability to apply new knowledge;
  • Skills in managing competing priorities and working under pressure;
  • Has an understanding of SMEC's organisational capability and how to access it;
  • Awareness of SMEC Business Systems in particular:
  • Project Management
  • WHS Management
  • Strong ability to apply CRM principals.
