About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Technical Director – Civil to lead the Civil Design Team and provide technical leadership across complex civil engineering projects supporting the Australian market.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the Civil Design Team and oversee technical delivery across projects.
- Review and ensure quality of civil designs, drawings and technical deliverables.
- Lead multidisciplinary coordination and manage engineering/BIM resources.
- Provide technical direction on medium to large-scale projects.
- Support project planning, scope, risk, resource and commercial management.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and Australian stakeholders.
- Contribute to proposals, business development and project pursuits.
- Mentor and develop engineers while driving technical excellence and continuous improvement.
- Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, Australian standards, project specifications and safety requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Engineering, Science or a related field.
- Professional engineering registration/chartership.
- 15+ years of relevant Civil Engineering experience.
- Strong experience leading large teams and delivering complex, multidisciplinary projects.
- Extensive knowledge of Australian standards/codes.
- Strong technical expertise in civil design and project delivery.
- Experience with BIM/Digital Engineering and multidisciplinary coordination.
- Proven client management and business development experience.
- Strong commercial, communication and stakeholder management skills.
