Technical Development Engineer (DevOps | Mandarin Speaker)

Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled Technical Development Engineer (DevOps | Mandarin

Speaker) to manage and optimize infrastructure, deployment pipelines, and system reliability for

a high-performance sportsbook platform.

This role focuses on ensuring high availability, scalability, and continuous delivery in a real-

time, high-concurrency betting environment. The ideal candidate has strong DevOps

experience and can collaborate effectively with Mandarin-speaking teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated build, testing, and
  
  

deployment

• Manage and optimize cloud infrastructure (AWS / Alibaba Cloud / GCP)
• Deploy, monitor, and maintain containerized applications (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Ensure high availability, fault tolerance, and system scalability
• Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues (latency, downtime, failures)
• Implement logging, monitoring, and alerting systems (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK)
• Collaborate with development teams to streamline release processes
• Manage version control and deployment workflows (Git, GitLab CI/CD, Jenkins)
• Ensure system security, access control, and compliance standards
• Support production environments during high-traffic events (live sports matches)
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field
• 3–5+ years of experience in DevOps / Site Reliability Engineering
• Strong experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, GitHub Actions)
• Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Alibaba Cloud, or GCP)
• Familiarity with Linux systems and shell scripting
• Experience with monitoring and logging tools
• Fluent in Mandarin and English (required)
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  
  

Preferred Qualifications (DevOps-Focused)

• Experience managing high-concurrency, real-time production systems
• Strong understanding of infrastructure as code (Terraform, Ansible)
• Experience with auto-scaling, load balancing, and distributed systems architecture
• Familiarity with message queues and streaming systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ)
• Experience with database performance tuning and system optimization
• Knowledge of security best practices (IAM, network security, secrets management)
• Experience with blue-green deployment / rolling deployment strategies
• Familiarity with incident management and SRE practices (SLI/SLO/SLA)
• Experience in sportsbook, fintech, or transaction-heavy platforms is a plus
  
  

Work Schedule

• Monday to Saturday
• 9 hours per day including 1hr meal break
• Shifting schedule (aligned with system operations / live events)
