Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Document Production: Prepare detailed construction documents, permit sets, and technical drawings using CAD software.
  • Design Translation: Transform design concepts into technical specifications, ensuring feasibility and manufacturability.
  • Technical Detailing: Develop precise plans, elevations, sections, and construction details for accurate implementation.
  • Compliance & Standards: Ensure all drawings meet building codes, regulations, and quality standards.
  • Data Management: Organize and manage technical data, project information, and specifications.
  • Problem-Solving: Analyze technical issues and develop solutions to ensure project success.
  • Conduct Site Assessments and Surveys: Perform detailed pre-design and ongoing site visits to gather crucial data, including measurements, photographs, and field reports.
  • Construction Administration Support: Act as a technical resource during construction, conducting site observations, responding to Requests for Information (RFIs), and documenting changes or issues to ensure the implementation team work aligns with the final architectural plan.

Required Skills & Qualifications Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture or related field often preferred. Software Proficiency: Expertise in CAD (AutoCAD, Revit) and BIM.
  • Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of architectural design, construction principles, and local building codes.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent communication, planning, problem-solving, and time management skills.
  • Experience: 5 years experience in creating construction documents and working through project phases.
