Technical Consultant – System Deployment Services

Client is seeking a Technical Consultant with expertise in large‑scale network, system, and solution deployment to join our System Deployment Services team within the Service & Delivery organization.

In this role, you will engage with customers to design, document, and deliver Client's solutions across on‑premise, cloud, and SaaS environments. Partnering with Sales, Operations, Product Management, and Engineering, you'll ensure successful solution delivery. You will define deployment activities for new installations and major upgrades, while guiding customers on technology and solution trade‑offs to achieve predictable, high‑quality outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

·      Lead customer engagements to design and implement client solutions in on‑premise, cloud, and SaaS environments

·      Collaborate across teams to ensure smooth solution delivery

·      Define deployment activities for green‑field installs and upgrades

·      Advise customers on technology choices and trade‑offs

·      Work directly with customers to establish scope, roles, and responsibilities

·      Support change management and address evolving customer requests to drive satisfaction

Qualifications

·      Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field

·      5+ years of industry experience, preferably in the utility sector

·      Proven track record in product development and solution delivery for telecom networks, enterprise data centres, and cloud/SaaS platforms

·      Strong technical background in IT infrastructure and system deployment

·      Expertise with Linux and Windows servers (OS and network configuration)

·      SQL proficiency; Oracle required, PostgreSQL and Microsoft SQL Server a plus

·      Hands‑on experience with Cisco IOS/IOX, networking, TCP/IP (IPv6 a plus)

·      Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; ability to work autonomously with customers

Preferred Skills

·      Knowledge of utility meter reading and distribution automation technologies

·      Familiarity with RF equipment and wired/wireless WAN deployment

·      Experience with GIS, CIS, and other utility systems

Travel Requirement: Ability to travel, principally in the Asia Pacific region, to attend onsite customer design workshops, develop agreed implementation plans and perform system deployment activities.

Telecommuting: Position involves a hybrid working arrangement working primarily from home office but also onsite at customer premises and Client's offices.
