TECHNICAL BUSINESS ANALYST (SQL, PYTHON, AI)

About the role

Technical Business Analyst for a Treasury or Finance AI project. You will bridge the gap between complex financial operations and data science, combining domain expertise in treasury and corporate finance with AI and data literacy to support the development and delivery of machine learning solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Demonstrate deep understanding of treasury and corporate finance operations, including cash flow forecasting, risk management, and financial instruments
• Identify where financial data lives, its format, and data quality issues to support AI project success
• Communicate with data scientists about which business variables matter and provide feature engineering input
• Translate black-box AI predictions into rationale that CFOs and Treasurers will trust
• Define acceptance criteria for probabilistic AI outputs, unlike traditional deterministic software requirements
• Query databases independently to validate data assumptions before handing them to the development team
• Use data visualization tools to mock up how AI insights will be delivered to executives
• Work in iterative sprints, manage product backlogs, and write user stories

About you

• Strong knowledge of cash flow forecasting, liquidity management, working capital cycles, and variance analysis
• Knowledge of foreign exchange (FX) hedging, interest rate risk, and counterparty risk
• Familiarity with money market funds, commercial paper, bonds, and derivatives
• Experience working with Treasury Management Systems (TMS) such as SAP Treasury, Kyriba, Quantum or any proprietary systems
• SQL proficiency with ability to query databases independently
• Experience using data visualization tools such as Python, Power BI or Tableau
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum frameworks
• Previous AI project implementation ( a plus )
