Job Description
Role Overview
We are looking for a Technical Business Analyst to bridge the gap between business stakeholders and engineering teams. In this role, you will analyze business workflows, translate requirements into technical specifications, and write complex SQL queries to extract insights, validate data, and support technical solutioning.
Core Responsibilities
- Write and optimize complex SQL queries (multi-table JOINs, CTEs, Window Functions, Subqueries) to query large enterprise databases and validate system data flows.
- Gather functional requirements from business stakeholders and translate them into detailed technical specifications, user stories, and system workflows.
- Partner with engineering and database teams to design data models, APIs, and business rules.
- Build BI dashboards (Tableau/Power BI) and perform UAT to ensure technical deliverables match business needs.
Key Requirements
- Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in writing complex SQL independently across relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, Snowflake, or MS SQL Server).
- Tech BA Expertise: Proven experience in technical requirement gathering, API/Data mapping, ER diagrams, and system architecture awareness.
- Process & Tools: Hands-on experience with Agile/Scrum, Jira/Confluence, and process flowcharting tools (Visio/Lucidchart).
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a quantitative field.
